I am finally in the last week of this bouquet. I feel like I've been working on this forever and I really really want to be done so I can see the results of my labor and so my customer can have her beautiful bouquet. My family is ready for me to be done too, since I've been up late most nights and working a bit during the day too - which I don't always do.
All of the large flowers I need for the bouquet are done. The last three I added are the two large Dahlias and a darker pink rose, which you can see at the very bottom of the second pic.
It won't be as large once I get it all assembled in bouquet form. It will be a round shaped bouquet with a ribbon and lace wrapped "handle".
So, that's where I'm at right now. The rest of the week I am working on Astilbe. I will be doing 5 smaller sized sprigs without leaves. So they will be the size of the pic below. I might do a couple of them with another layer of little branches.
Then I will be doing Billy Balls (Craspedia). Those are going to be tricky.
After I finish this bouquet I do have two more custom orders, but they are smaller. One for a hair vine and hair pin set, and the other for a ruffled rose.
Etsy has finally rolled out their new system for collecting VAT for digital downloads for EU customers. Now Etsy will automatically detect your location and show you prices inclusive of the VAT rate for your country. So, if you are in the EU or any other country that has adopted new rules for taxing digital downloads it will look like my PDF pattern and tutorials prices have gone up (in my Etsy shop, my Payhip shop has been collecting them for some time). For those of you in other countries that do not have taxes based on buyer location for digital downloads, the prices will remain the same.
Here is Etsy's blog on the issue:
