Well, my friends, it's been an extremely hectic couple of weeks. So much so that I wasn't able to blog last week, not that I had anything to talk about anyways. Not sure if I mentioned it or not, but I've recently been given a new position at church where I am in charge of the children of our congregation. There are 88 of them ranging from 18 months to 11 years. And it's a lot more complicated than it sounds. I am the President and I have two counselors and a secretary, the four of us manage the entire children's program. We supervise teachers, music leaders, activity leaders, scout leaders... etc. Between all the meetings, communicating, planning, teaching, and trying to figure out what the heck we are doing, we also get to write and direct the yearly presentation that our children perform in church to show the congregation what they've been learning all year. It's completely nuts. And it came at the worst time possible for me and my counselors since we were all overloaded. It took four days of almost incessant writing and studying to write this program.
On top of all that stuff I've got a little boy who is starting Kindergarten this year, and all the meetings with his teacher and the school, and the pre-kindergarten testing (apparently they need to be tested twice... and it has to be done in such a way that we get to wait in a hallway with rambunctious children for over two hours waiting for our turn...). And apparently the doctor gave us the wrong vaccination information before, so we got to fix that issue last minute so he can actually go.
There were also two birthdays in the last week, a visit from in-laws that I didn't know about, and a severe case of the stomach flu, from which I am still recovering.
Needless to say, my Peony Pattern is no where near ready. I'm sorry guys! I've bitten off more than I can chew. I will probably need another week or so. But, since it's later than I promised I will have it on sale the first week after I publish it. :) It's coming!
