I am so thrilled to finally post the pictures of the finished custom wedding bouquet on my blog. Here she is!!
The finished bouquet was 8.5 inches wide and 12.5 inches from top to tip. She weighs 2 lbs 9.8 ounces. (Not as heavy as I thought it would be).
I managed to squeeze back into my wedding dress for a little photo shoot. It's been 8 years and 2 kids since I wore it, so I was glad it fit over my hips even if it didn't zip at all. It worked well enough for some pictures. For hours I was getting into and out of the dress, hauling the heavy skirt all over the house, taking pictures using the camera's timer function which I couldn't get to function properly. It wouldn't focus correctly so everything was blurry. (I think the problem was that I couldn't be in front of it while pushing the button, and so it focused on the wall behind where I was standing, then I went and stood in front of the focus point.)Then my boys came in and asked if they could help. They are 6 and 3 years old, so the idea seemed absurd, but I figured I'd just humor them. Of course the ones the 3 year old took turned out the best. Haha.
Next I am working on a custom Hydrangea stem (just like the one below), along with the berries for the upcoming beaded berry tutorial packet.
